He’s made it to 900. Cristiano Ronaldo knocked in yet another landmark goal with his first-half strike against Croatia in the UEFA Nations League, as the Portuguese forward continues to set records in the game. Ronaldo recently declared he wants to go on to reach 1000 goals, and he looks unstoppable in pursuit of that target.

‘I will know when my time is up’ – Portugal captain Ronaldo focused on ‘present’, not retirement

Cristiano Ronaldo has become the first footballer in history to score 900 career goals.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner reached the milestone by scoring for Portugal in his country’s Nations League clash with Croatia.
Ronaldo met a left-sided cross on the edge of the six-yard box to volley home the landmark goal.
After realising his achievement, Ronaldo looked emotional as he put his head in his hands and sank to his knees in celebration.
It was the 131st goal of his international career, with the other 769 coming at club level.
Ronaldo started his career at Sporting Lisbon and, after impressing at youth level, he made his senior debut in September 2002 in the Primeira Liga.
A week later, his incredible scoring run started as he scored a brace against Moreirense.
Ronaldo’s breakthrough was quickly noted by Manchester United, and after luring him to Old Trafford, Sir Alex Ferguson watched his new signing find the net against Portsmouth in the Premier League with a free-kick.
The Portuguese superstar went on to score a further 144 goals for United.
However, it was his time at Real Madrid which saw the majority of Ronaldo’s career goals hit the net, with 450 of them coming during his nine years at the Bernabeu.
Ronaldo added 101 more to his tally at Juventus, and since moving to Saudi Arabia to play for Al Nassr, he has scored a further 68.
